Hi, for those of you who don’t know me, allow me to introduce myself -- my name is Elsie Ramos, and I am the author of a cookbook Elsie’s Turkey Tacos and Arroz con Pollo.
I was born in Hoboken, NJ and later moved to the boogie down Bronx with my Mom and 4 siblings. I graduated from the “University of Life,” where I studied family and cooking.
With 3 sons of my own and 3 stepsons, I’ve perfected my culinary skills through trial and terror (boy can they eat!). Together with my long-time boyfriend Ray, we all moved to New Jersey about 6 years ago and
nowadays our boys have grown up and are slooowwwwllllly leaving the nest.
During our wonderful years together, I’ve been a Top 4 finalist on Fox TV’s reality show Hell’s Kitchen and finished a course of study at the French Culinary Institute.
When I’m not on television or the news, I work as an Office Manager in NYC. At the end of the day I come full circle and it’s back to my family and to the kitchen -- my favorite place in my lovely home!
